Children launch themselves into, on and at the world with a bunch of BIG emotions that are expressed through their behaviours. Once you know what that means and what to look for,
understanding the emotional world of your child, their developing brain and self-regulation becomes much, MUCH easier. Join us as we cover:

• The temperament tangle – understand how your child’s temperament plays out emotionally
• Gender generalisations – how does gender influence your child’s emotional development?
• Keeping it in or letting it out – healthy systems of managing big feelings
• Parent central – here’s how you learn to emotion coach your child

Workshop 2 – Helping the anxious child

Worrying about the child who worries. Wondering if they’re going to learn enough coping skills – and when that’s going to happen. Trying to stay calm yourself when worries snowball and turn
into giant meltdowns or shutdowns. This is the world of parenting a child prone to anxiety and we’ve got the practical know-how for you:

• The different expressions of childhood anxiety
• Ways to get in front of the impending emotional meltdown / shutdown
• Identifying triggers and reading the warning signs
• Keeping up healthy boundaries around the anxieties
